Terms of Service

The legal stuff you probably won't read, but totally have to agree to anyway. By adding or interacting with JenBot, you explicitly agree to follow these Terms of Service. These rules are made available transparently across our web properties and bot profile infrastructure.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By adding JenBot to a server or interacting with its features within any channel, you consent to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these criteria, you must remove the application from your infrastructure immediately.

2. Bot Behaviour

JenBot is engineered to simulate a sarcastic, playful, or abrasive persona. You acknowledge that any automatically generated application text outputs are intended for entertainment purposes only. They are not intended to be interpreted as genuine statements of fact, harassment, threats, or targeted abuse.

3. Virtual Economy (Mayarama)

JenBot features an entirely fictional virtual economy system using tokens ("Mayacoins"). You acknowledge and agree that:

• Mayacoins, customized shop rewards, virtual roles, and gaming progression values hold zero real-world monetary value.
• Tokens can never be exchanged, cashed out, or sold for real currency inside or outside the platform environment.
• The Data Controller maintains sole authority to modify, remove, reset, or correct virtual economy balances to patch data exploits, resolve code bugs, adjust balancing anomalies, or perform system maintenance. Best-effort advanced notification will be issued regarding major rebalancings.

4. Web Dashboard & Authentication

Jen features a web dashboard for managing your server configurations cleanly. To access it, you must authenticate using Discord's secure OAuth2 API. You agree that:

• We never see, process, or store your Discord password. The authentication handshake happens entirely through Discord's native systems.
• You are solely responsible for keeping your Discord account secure.
• If your Discord account gets compromised and someone uses it to vandalize your server settings or ruin your perk setups via Jen's dashboard, we are not liable for the damage. Seriously, turn on two-factor authentication.

5. Moderation, Server Features & Automation

JenBot distributes powerful organizational tools to community administrators, including Suggestion Boards, XP Blacklists, and highly automated Perk Management systems. By utilizing these tools, you agree to the following:

• Automation is Best-Effort: Role distribution, automated perk checking, sync tiers, and grace-period timers run on background cycle loops. We explicitly disclaim liability for delayed role grants, accidental or premature role revocations, or data desynchronization between Discord's native API state and Jen's database. Sometimes the internet hiccups.
• I hold no operational liability regarding how local server administrators deploy, restrict, or manage these features.
• I am not liable for lost user experience rankings, role deletions, administrative disputes, or accidental moderation adjustments arising from active bot use.
• Users are solely responsible for the content they submit via JenBot.

6. Proper Use

You agree not to:

• Use JenBot to orchestrate illegal actions or violate Discord's overarching platform policies.
• Initiate unauthorized attempts to access, exploit, flood, or intentionally crash the application's hosting environments. Legitimate security vulnerability reports should be routed responsibly via our official support pipelines.
• Deploy application systems to harass, abuse, or harm others.
• Spam the interactive systems (like Suggestion Boards or minigames) with automated scripts or excessive garbage data.

7. Intellectual Property

JenBot, its localized source codebase, official branding assets (including logos and bot avatars), graphical components, unique embed configurations, and command strings remain the exclusive intellectual property of the Data Controller unless stated otherwise. Unauthorized duplication or distribution of matching brand materials is prohibited.

8. Termination of Access

The Data Controller reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently revoke access to JenBot for any individual user or entire Discord server that violates these Terms, abuses the service, attempts to leverage system exploits, or interferes with normal system operation.

9. Availability

JenBot is provided strictly on an “as is” and “as available” basis. I do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, data accuracy, or error-free utility execution. Features may be altered, turned off, or removed at any time without warning.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JenBot and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or virtual assets arising from your use or inability to use the bot. Use JenBot at your own risk.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any legal disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.

12. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may see adaptations over time. Notice of major material shifts will be broadcast inside JenBot's support server. Continued interaction with the bot following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised rules.
